House Rules

These guidelines help us keep Focus Nook a calm, respectful, and productive space for everyone.

Rule 01

Respect the Quiet Culture

  • Keep conversations low — if you need to take a call or have a longer discussion, use a designated phone booth or the lounge area.

  • Quiet floors are strictly no-call zones. Use headphones when listening to audio, even at low volume.

  • Alert staff if noise is disrupting your work — we'll handle it promptly and professionally.

Rule 02

Keep Your Space Tidy

  • Clean up after yourself. Return borrowed items — chargers, markers, cables — to where you found them.

  • Dispose of trash and food waste in the designated bins. Dishes and cups go to the kitchen sink, not the desk.

  • Leave your workspace the way you found it so the next member can enjoy a fresh, clean setup.

Rule 03

Be Respectful to Everyone

  • Treat fellow members, staff, and visitors with kindness and professionalism at all times.

  • Discriminatory language, harassment, or disruptive behaviour will not be tolerated and may result in immediate removal.

  • Resolve personal conflicts privately and respectfully — or report them to staff and we will mediate.

Rule 04

Security & Access

  • Your keycard or access code is personal and non-transferable. Do not share it with anyone.

  • Do not allow unauthorised individuals into secured areas — ask guests to sign in at reception.

  • Lock your locker and secure your belongings when away from your desk. Focus Nook is not liable for lost or stolen items.

Rule 05

Food & Drinks

  • Food and drinks are welcome in the kitchen and lounge areas. Hot food is not permitted at open workstations.

  • Coffee, tea, and snacks included in your plan are for your personal use — not for guests.

  • Clean up spills immediately and leave shared kitchen appliances in the same condition you found them.

Rule 06

Equipment & Facilities

  • Use shared equipment responsibly. Report any damage or malfunction to staff immediately rather than leaving it for someone else to discover.

  • Do not install software, change system settings, or leave personal files on shared devices.

  • Printing is available within fair-use limits per plan — see the member portal for your monthly allocation.

Rule 07

Bookings & Reservations

  • Book meeting rooms, private offices, and event spaces in advance through the member portal — walk-in use is subject to availability.

  • Cancel reservations you no longer need at least 2 hours in advance as a courtesy to other members.

  • Overtime in booked spaces beyond your reserved window may be charged at the standard hourly rate.

Rule 08

General Conduct

  • Focus Nook is a fully smoke-free environment, including e-cigarettes and vaping devices, in all indoor and outdoor areas.

  • Pets are not permitted inside the co-working area.

  • All guests and visitors must be signed in at reception and accompanied by a member at all times while on the premises.

  • After-hours access (outside standard operating hours) is available only to members on eligible plans.
